Upper Wharfedale

On Saturday, our search dog handler and his dog, Tess, were deployed to assist Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association (UWFRA) with the ongoing search for the missing walker, David McCartney, in the Yorkshire Dales. The Walker in his 70s had left home on Monday, telling his family he was going for a walk in the Skipton area and would be away for around five hours.

Unfortunately despite the best efforts of all the Mountain Rescue Teams, Mountain Rescue Search Dogs England teams and the other agencies involved over multiple days, the walker was not located.

The incident involved 1 Team member for 11 hours.
