Ways to donate
Northumberland National Park Mountain Rescue Team is a registered charity and is reliant on public donations to provide its highly professional, emergency search and rescue service. It costs £40k per year to keep us operational.
There are many ways you can make a donation to Northumberland National Park Mountain Rescue Team and help us to continue saving lives: some are free of charge, meaning that every penny donated goes to the Team; others involve a fee either for the Team or for you as a donor.
Here are some of the most common ways you can make a donation with the least cost-effective ones lowest down. However you choose to donate and regardless of the size of your donation, we are most grateful.
Just Giving
JustGiving is a convenient means of donating but has relatively high charges. It’s particularly useful if you are setting up an event such as a sponsored run because it provides advertising your event and for tracking donations.

Bank Transfer
You can make a one-off donation or set up a regular donation by standing order. With your consent, we can claim Gift Aid on your donation too.
Please contact our Treasurer to request our bank details.
PayPal Giving Fund
PayPal passes 100% of your donation, plus Gift Aid if eligible, to us.
Click here to donate using a debit card, credit card or your PayPal account. If you tick the box to allow PayPal to share your details, we’ll be able to send you a message of thanks.
Cash
If you would like to donate cash, please contact our Treasurer to make arrangements for collection.
If you have organised a cash collection, please don’t bank the cash and then transfer the proceeds to us. Depending on the circumstances, we may be able to claim additional money from HMRC but we can only do that if we bank the cash ourselves.
Collecting Tins
If you have any spare change, you can drop it into one of our collecting tins. You’ll find them in establishments throughout the area.

Easy Fundraising
If you use easy fundraising when shopping online, we will receive a small percentage of the transaction.

Cheque
Please contact our Treasurer if you would like to donate by cheque made payable to Northumberland National Park Mountain Rescue Team.
Legacy
The Team has benefited from a number of legacies in recent years. If you would like to support the Team through your will, please discuss the most appropriate way to do this with your solicitor. It would be helpful if you could let us know your intentions too.
