The Teams were called later in the week for a missing male in Rothley area near Scots Gap. The man who’d been missing for a few weeks was believed to be wild camping in the area.

Using missing person behaviour statistics, background intelligence and local knowledge, a search plan was agreed with the Police Search Adviser. Team members operating in groups alongside Police officers, three Mountain Rescue Search Dogs England teams and a Police dog team were deployed to search areas of woodland in the Rothley area. The National Police Air Service helicopter were also involved in the search.

Shortly after 16.00hrs a tent and then the missing person were located by one of our search groups.

A good outcome for all involved, bringing the incident to a swift conclusion.
