A multiagency response to reports of two teenage boys in difficulty in the River Tyne near Ovingham. Tragically both boys died despite the efforts of the emergency and rescue services which were immediately deployed to the area.

Our sincerest sympathies go to the family and friends of both boys at this devastating time.

The incident involved 18 Team members for 4 hours 30 minutes.
