Ouston, near Ninebanks

Early on Saturday morning Penrith Mountain Rescue Team transferred an incident to ourselves and North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team. A stranded motorist in the North Pennines had tried to walk home when they got into difficulty due to drifting snow and whiteout conditions. PhoneFind was used to successfully identify their location which placed the individual in Northumberland.

Thankfully whilst our plans were being formulated, Northumbria Police were able to reach the individual concerned and transport them home.

The incident involved 5 Team members for 35 minutes.
