Incident Type: Search

As the incident in Newcastle was drawing to a close, a call was received from the Police Search Adviser regarding the earlier Morpeth search. Police investigations undertaken during the day enabled the search to be refocused.

Despite our best efforts, nothing was found and the Teams stood down as darkness fell.

By way of a postscript the missing man was located alive on Thursday afternoon, well outside of the areas searched by ourselves.

The incident involved 24 Team members for 5 hours 20 minutes.
