Early on Sunday evening, Northumbria Police requested assistance from ourselves and North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team in searching for a vulnerable missing person in the Morpeth area.
Whilst our duty controller liaised with the police, both teams were placed in standby.
Shortly after 8pm, both teams were called out to search for the missing person. As team members were arriving at their RVP and whilst search plans were being drawn up, the missing person was located safe and well wandering along a local road by a member of the public.
The incident involved 25 team members for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
