Incident Type: Rescue

Just as our team members were returning from a busy day supporting the Trail Outlaws event, we received a request from the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) for an incident initially believed to be on Hadrian’s Wall.

With initial details unclear a limited Mountain Rescue response was initiated. Local team members and our 4×4 response vehicle from Rothbury were swiftly deployed. As local Mountain Rescue resources arrived at the scene on the Military Road, not Hadrian’s Wall as initially reported, it was apparent our specialist resources would not be required. At this point other travelling resources were stood down.

The incident involved 5 team members deployed for 1 hour 50 minutes. 18 additional members on standby.
