Northumberland Fire & Rescue Service alerted Mountain Rescue an incident at the Leaplish Waterside Park. A couple had checked in at the Park’s reception and on trying to locate their accommodation went off the road and down an embankment, hitting a tree.

Thankfully on arrival at Leaplish, the fire crew confirmed they could deal with the incident and we could go back to sleep!

Not the start to a few days away that the unfortunate couple required.

The incident involved 7 Team members for 31 minutes.
