Langleeford Hope

In the early hours of Sunday morning, a request from our sister team was received. North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team were providing medical and event cover for the Montane Cheviot Goat ultra distance event and were a little bit stretchered!

With one competitor struggling to the west of Hedgehope Hill, we were requested to help with their extrication along with Mountain Rescue personnel from the Langleeford side of the hill. Our response vehicle from Rothbury was deployed with a couple of Team members to assist with the evacuation.

The incident involved 2 Team members for 2 hours 15 minutes.
