Kielder

A couple had broken down in their car on the Forest Drive in Kielder Forest to east of Blakehope Nick. Due to the poor mobile network coverage in the area, the only way for the couple to raise the alarm was to dial 999. Northumbria Police were able to ascertain a W3W location and our duty controller was able to advise the Police that the couple’s location could be reached in a standard vehicle.

The Police duly sent officers to the couple’s location.

The incident involved 1 Team member for 4 hours 30 minutes.
