Keswick Mountain Rescue Team and the Lake District Search and Mountain Rescue Association called in additional resources to help locate a vulnerable missing person in the Keswick area after heavy rain hampered search efforts the previous day.

The resumed on Thursday morning with more Mountain Rescue Teams given specific areas to search. Andrew and Search Dog Bramble were tasked to search the lower slopes of Latrigg above the River Greta. Bramble made the find, her first, in very dense wet bracken and foliage. The missing person was cold but well having been missing overnight.

The incident involved 1 Team member and a search dog for 11 hours. Other search dogs from Teams in the North East Search & Rescue Association were also deployed.
