NEAS called for assistance with a 14-year-old who had come off his bike, sustaining a potentially serious injury in steep terrain. NEAS were already on scene, and both teams were called out in case a stretcher evacuation was required.

Team members responded rapidly, with the first on scene within 20 minutes of activation. After pain relief was given, the casualty was able to walk out with support, avoiding the need for a technical carry.
