Mountain Rescue was called to assist in a search for a high risk missing person on Saturday night in the Haltwhistle area. Northumbria Police requested North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team and ourselves to conduct searches of routes and small areas to the south of the village after the female was reported missing at approximately 19.30hrs.
At just before midnight, thankfully the female was located, safe and well, by a Police officer when she returned to her last known location. The Mountain Rescue search groups were requested to return to the RVP at this point and the Teams stood down.
A good outcome for all concerned and all being well the female is now receiving the support she needs.
The incident involved 10 Team members for 4 hours 30 minutes.
