Gateshead

Yesterday evening, ourselves and North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team were called out by Northumbria Police to assist in the search for a high risk missing person from Gateshead.

Our search managers worked with the Police Search Adviser to devise a search strategy and plan. An extensive search of dense wooded areas in and around Saltwell Park were then carried out by our search groups. Team members searched late into the evening.

Thankfully it was confirmed that the missing person was found safe well outside of the prioritised search areas.

The incident involved 22 Team members for 5 hours 30 minutes.
