Northumbria Police had located a high risk missing person’s car north of Fourstones in the early hours of Sunday morning. Following an initial briefing with the Police control room and then the Police Search Adviser, it was agreed that North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team and ourselves would deploy.
No sooner than the standby had been sent and our Toyota Hilux, Curlew Echo, was about to be deployed, the missing person was located relatively close to their car by a Police dog handler.
A good, swift outcome for all concerned.
The incident involved 10 Team members for 53 minutes.
