Teesdale & Weardale Search and Mountain Rescue Team requested the support of all the Mountain Rescue Teams within the North East Search & Rescue Association and others from further afield for a large scale search. A woman in her early 20s had been reported missing from home and her car had been located to the north of Eggleston in Teesdale.

The first two days of the search focused on routes and areas over the moors in all directions from the missing person’s vehicle.

Despite everyone’s best efforts the woman was not located and the Team was temporarily stood down while the search efforts were refocused.

Day one of the search involved 10 members for 7 hours

Day two of the search involved 10 members for 8 hours
