Cowpen, Blyth

Incident Type: Search

North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team and ourselves assisted Northumbria Police with a search for a high risk missing person n the Cowpen area of Blyth. With nothing found after searching 12 areas of varying, often densely wooded ground, the teams stood down around 22:00hrs.

Sadly the body of the missing male was subsequently found a few days later, outside of the areas searched.

The incident involved 46 members for 6 hours.
