Blanchland Moor

The North East Ambulance Service activated Mountain Rescue for an injured motorcyclist on Blanchland Moor to the south of Slaley Forest. Whilst the Mountain Rescue duty controller spoke to the informant, drivers for response vehicles were being allocated and readied for deployment.

Further information was then received from the Great North Air Ambulance Service helimed crew confirming they were on scene and had been able to land close to the incident. Mountain Rescue resources weren’t required and the Teams stood down.

The incident involved 5 Team members for 20 minutes.
