Late afternoon on Monday, Northumbria Police activated North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team and ourselves for a high risk missing person. The missing person’s vehicle had been located at Blakehopeburnhaugh at the end of the Kielder forest drive.

The Teams were immediately called out but as our resources were travelling to the RVP, the Police confirmed that the missing person had thankfully been located and no further assistance was required. At this point the Teams were stood down.

A positive and swift outcome for all concerned.

The incident involved 36 Team members for 1 hour 45 minutes.
