Bedlington

The Mountain Rescue teams were requested again at just before midnight for a high risk missing person in the Bedlington area. The duty controller, operating on behalf of North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team and ourselves, liaised with Northumbria Police to discuss whether a deployment was required. However, further information indicated that an on the ground search by our volunteers might not initially be required.

A couple of hours later the Police confirmed that the missing person had been found. A good outcome for all concerned.

The incident involved 1 Team member for 2 hours 15 minutes.
