Incident Type: Rescue

Again, while the Trail Outlaws incident was ongoing, the Team and North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team were again called out, this time by Northumbria Police, to assist a walker who had fallen and injured themselves while out with a group near Beanley Wood.

A 4×4 response vehicle was immediately deployed from Wooler on blue lights while local Team members went directly to incident. Our volunteers quickly reached the location, provided medical care, and evacuated the casualty by stretcher to the roadside for transfer to a waiting ambulance.

The incident involved 13 Team members for 1 hour 45 minutes, with a further 10 on standby.
