Northumbria Police requested the assistance of North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team and ourselves on Friday evening. A vulnerable male had been reported missing earlier in the day and the Police were concerned for his wellbeing.
As vehicles and our volunteer members travelled to the RVP, one of our search managers liaised with the Police Search Adviser to agree a search plan based on the available information. Thankfully as members arrived at the RVP, we received the great news that the missing male had walked into a hospital. The Teams were at this point stood down.
On the way back into Rothbury, members in one of our vehicles checked out the river levels which had been rising all day. The photo shows the flooded haugh carpark by the River Coquet.
The incident involved 29 members for 2 hours 10 minutes.
