A697, near Thrunton

The North East Ambulance Service requested Mountain Rescue’s assistance to evacuate a casualty whose car had left the road and ended up down an embankment. As our first blue light response vehicle arrived on scene it quickly became apparent that the NEAS crew had thankfully managed to evacuate the individual to the Ambulance on the main road.

The Teams were stood down at this point.

The incident involved 13 Team members for 40 minutes.
