  • 2015 Xmas Card

    This year's card is available in two sizes- A5  and A6 . Both go in
    the post at the normal size rate.


    The greeting inside says "Season's Greetings and Best Wishes for the New Year ".

    Order them from 

    Cost are as follows,

    • A5: 70p per card and envelop plus postage and packing;
    • A6 50p per card and envelope plus post and packging

    or buy them in person at

    • The Spar shop and Post Office at Longhoughton, Northumberland
    • Shepherds Walks, Coquetdale Centre, Rothbury. Northumberland

    All proceeds to the team.

  • Above And Beyond

    The team are excited to announce a partnership with Above & Beyond.

    Above & Beyond are an outdoor equipment retailler based in Cramlington.

    Already they have kindly replaced team members old and out of date Ordanace Survey maps and have offered a discount to team members when buying new kit, a gesture that is very much appreciated!

  • Wooler Callout

    The team were called out in the early hours of Friday 16th January.

    The Black Bull in Wooler raised the alarm when a guest failed to return on Thursday evening after going on a bike ride in the Cheviots.

    The team along with North of Tyne MRT, Borders SARU and a Sea King from RAF Boulmer spent the night searching tracks and bridleways for the missing man.

  • Casualty Care Exam

    'Congratulations to team members Andrew Brunt, Paul Freeman and Fiona Thompson who re-sat and passed the Mountain Rescue Basic Casualty Care exam on December 2nd 2012 and to Jamie Pattison who passed for the first time.
    By all accounts the practical scenarios were particularly challenging this year since trauma and medical were combined in each scenario.'
