Our Partners

Northumberland National Park Mountain Rescue Team works closely with and is supported by the following agencies and partner organisations.

Northumberland Fire & Rescue Service (NFRS) allow us to house our vehicles and equipment at Pegswood Community Fire Station.

Pegswood is also where the Team meet and train. We also joint train with NFRS especially in the area of water rescue.

Northumbria Police are the Team’s primary Calling Authority and provide the Team with operational support and access to communications equipment.

Regular joint training also takes place with the Police Search Advisers and Marine Unit.

The Team was founded by National Park voluntary wardens and we are proud to still have an affiliation with the National Park Authority more than 50 years later.

The National Park Authority also supplies the Team with an annual grant.

North East Ambulance Service  (NEAS) provide the Team with operational support and are also one of the team’s Calling Authorities.

NEAS also provide the Team with a base for one of our vehicles and equipment at the Rothbury Ambulance station.
